This 3 day course is aimed at ENT/OMFS Specialist Registrars, Core Trainees (CT’s), and Consultants but would also be of interest to Radiology SpRs/StRs, Audiologists, and Speech & Language Therapists.

The course will include a combination of lectures and small group tutorials/workshops led by radiologists with a wide experience in ENT-Head & Neck Imaging.

All aspects of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery imaging will be covered with particular emphasis on common diagnoses, anatomy, and choice of imaging modalities i.e. CT, MRI, PET-CT, and Ultrasound.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

On completion of this course participants should be able to:

  1. Revise the cross-sectional anatomy in rhinology, otology and laryngology on various imaging modalities such as CT and MRI

  2.  

  3. Appreciate the contribution and limitations of Plain Films, Contrast Studies, Ultrasound, CT, MRI and PET-CT in the management of otolaryngology-head & neck disease.

  4.  

  5. Select the best imaging modality for chronic, acute and emergency otorhinolarygology conditions.

  6.  

  7. Know what radiological appearances to look for in common otolaryngology diseases.
